The City of East Palo Alto invites residents to attend a workshop to review and discuss draft policy approaches to address key environmental justice issues in the East Palo Alto community, including issues related to pollution, access to healthy food, access to open space, safe housing, adequate public facilities, vulnerability to climate hazards, and meaningful community engagement. These workshops will also seek community input on how to prioritize among implementation actions.
The City has partnered with Climate Resilient Communities to lead these events in collaboration with Nuestra Casa and PlaceWorks. The May 29 workshop will be conducted in English and the June 5 workshop will be conducted in Spanish. Dinner, stipends, and childcare will be available for all attendees.
